The Erosion of Progress by Religion

This is an interesting talk. I'm agnostic personally, and I don't like persecuting religion. While I understand his fervor and desire to oust the doubt and opposition towards scientific thinking. I believe the misunderstanding between science and faith has stemmed largely from religion's own conviction towards their own beliefs.

One of the reasons I steer clear of the religion talks is because most religions are highly conceited and believe that theirs is the only way. This in itself is closed thinking and therefore detrimental towards any scientific advancement. Perhaps that's why the majority of the scientific community are atheists or agnostics?

Regardless, it's an interesting though. And If this seems like a vague statement that's because it is intentionally. I don't wish to make anyone believe anything. I just wish to present them the argument and let them think for themselves what it's worth. :)
