Adam Kokesh and the Second Amendment

I don't like getting into politics much any more, but this is not something I can't ignore. As you have seen in some of my previous posts, the Second Amendment is not an easy idea to take in. It's not just about hunting rifles, it's not just about the right to carry guns for pleasure and self defense from muggers.

It's about instilling fear within the government so it does not usurp the power of the people. Do I like the idea of armed conflict? Absolutely not. I do not wish the loss of life, or pain, or suffering on any level. As a scientific minded person I believe everyone is capable of great things.

Taking this from a scientific view point leads me to believe that what Adam is doing is calling attention to the subject. It's not something we want to talk about, because it's not easy to come to terms with the problems that we face.

At the end of the day, Adam is doing what he believes needs to be done(even at the sacrifice of his own freedoms) to get people thinking and talking about this. Believe what you will about this, and be angry all you want, but he got you thinking about it.
