3D Printing has become a massive technology in itself, and I'm not talking about the printers. I'm talking about the products that printers are now capable of creating.
Buying a 3D printer is a rather steep investment, with big returns. Not only can you make toys for your kids, take your Arts and Crafts to the next level, but there is also a huge community around spreading blueprints for printable tools.
It's amazing to think that certain products may become significantly cheaper for those without 3D printers, due to the lowering demand caused by home-made products. Not to mention, the plethora of new products and inventions that will stem from the complete creative freedom 3D printers provide.
This combined with Mining Asteroids could turn our economy upside down, but in a good way! Mining asteroids would increase the resources needed to provide for the printers(and make them much cheaper), giving everyone the ability to create and market their own products!
The future is looking pretty amazing. Not that it wasn't looking pretty amazing before!
