Despite my political ramblings I think it's important to remember the reason I have them. It's no longer just about my discontent with the state of affairs, it's about getting people to think outside their comfort zones and looking towards the world as it is.

We cannot live in a world of people who are afraid to ask tough questions, and move through their discomfort to find the truth. Politics is the Anthropological equivalent of space travel. The human race as a civilized society is still infantile. The longest lasting "empire" has only been 500 years, and the views of how we interact with each other in the world have not changed much.

There will come a day when we realize as a species that in order for us to go beyond the discontent we feel for each other we must start seeking the best way to interact with each other efficiently. Religion is not the problem, political division is not the problem. The problem is our mind set towards humanity as a whole has not changed.

Perhaps it's time to take a good long look at what we believe, and the social norms we hold, and question whether they are doing us good. It's not an easy thing to think about, I understand. But we MUST think about them. The fact that we CAN consider these issues is amazing.

Just remember, we're all in this together. We shouldn't need a common enemy to fight. We shouldn't need a universal threat to bring us together. We should just understand the fact that we CAN band together to make our race great, is reason enough in itself.

E Pluribus Unum.
