If there's one thing science has taught us, it's that science-fiction can very easily become science fact. It's only a matter of time. Not only is Augmented Reality very close to being real within the general market, but user integration within that system is already taking a new turn. While I'm not particularly for violence in many ways, being able to defend yourself is key to survival in any situation.
Embracing the technology that can help you do that, could mean the difference between survival and death. I don't imagine most people will require a program such as this, but for those of us who embrace technology in all of it's forms are rather excited to see this level of capability.
Besides the military and defense aspects of this program, you never know where this kind of integration can come in handy. Those who work in hazardous fields will have the capability to be much more precise when handling hazardous materials, or even being able to see their surroundings.
There's only so much one man can think of for uses. I guarantee you once this technology hits the market and everyone gets their brain in on the deal, we'll see it's true capability. Keep looking towards the future folks, it's looking bright!
